Hello everyone! We are Cat and Harold from Kuala Lumpur. Welcome to our vlog, created to catalogue our memories, life’s events and travels.
Why “Have Perut Will Travel”? It’s a play on words from an old Western TV show called “Have Gun - Will Travel”, but we let our tummies lead the way ❣️

BKK Day 8 │ Christmas Eve • Royal Princess Cruise!
A Festive Evening to Remember
Christmas Eve in Bangkok was nothing short of magical! After a quick stop at Fortune Town to pick up my new guitar, a refreshing shower, and a change into our festive outfits, we were ready for an unforgettable night.
To celebrate, we booked seats on the Royal Princess Cruise with International Buffet Dinner & Live Music through Bangkok Tickets for just THB636.55 per person (≈ MYR83/USD21/EUR17). A fantastic deal for a luxury experience!
Getting There: Tips for a Smooth Journey
The boarding point was Asiatique The Riverfront, so we left Tierra Residences two hours early to beat the notorious Bangkok traffic—especially on Christmas Eve. Our Grab ride cost THB250 (≈ MYR33/USD8/EUR7) and took about 30 minutes.
Pro Tip: Arrive early to secure a seat on the open-air deck for the best views and an authentic cruise experience. Semi-formal attire is recommended, so we donned our Christmas shirts from Chatuchak Market and festive hats for the occasion!
Boarding the Royal Princess
After checking in at Warehouse 7, we received our tickets and ID stickers. With time to spare, we explored a small amusement park nearby and grabbed snacks from Royal Pizza before heading to Pier 1 at 5:00pm.
The excitement built as we joined the long line for the Royal Princess. Once aboard, we found our table on the upper deck—and wow, the view was breathtaking! The shimmering lights of Bangkok reflected on the Chao Phraya River, creating a picture-perfect backdrop.
The Cruise Experience
From the international buffet to live music, the evening was pure joy. Words can’t fully capture the atmosphere, so we’ll let our video footage do the talking. The cruise lasted until 6:45pm, taking us past Taksin Bridge, Memorial Bridge, Wat Kanlaya, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, The Grand Palace, and Rama VIII Bridge, leaving us with unforgettable memories.
The Journey Back: A Lesson Learned
After disembarking, we faced a challenge: traffic chaos! Our first Grab driver canceled after a 30-minute wait, and the second took an hour to reach us. We finally got home around 9:30pm for THB274 (≈ MYR36/USD9/EUR8).
Takeaway: For future trips, stick to attractions accessible by train or bus to avoid traffic headaches.
