Boxing Day in Bangkok: Shopping, Food, and Fun!

After yesterday’s whirlwind of activities, we allowed ourselves a late start. By 9:30 AM, we hopped on the free shuttle to Gateway Ekkamai, then made our way to the Ekkamai BTS station. Six stops later, we arrived at Chit Lom, ready for a day of shopping and culinary delights.

CentralwOrld: Food and Fashion Galore

Our first stop was centralwOrld, which had just opened its doors. We headed straight to the 7th-floor food court—foodwOrld, where we purchased a prepaid card worth THB 1,000 (≈ MYR130/USD32/EUR27). Here’s what we enjoyed:

• Rice with Fried Pork – THB80

• Mineral Water – THB15

After a quick pharmacy stop for Cat’s sore throat, the real shopping spree began!

We couldn’t resist the locally produced perfumes at Central’s fragrance department. 10 bottles set us back THB5,804 (≈ MYR757/USD187/EUR159).

Sweet Break

While Cat explored cosmetics (THB1,175 spent on 10 items), I relaxed at After You Café with a hot mocha for THB153. Stay tuned for the next video as we exit CentralwOrld and head to Siam!
