A New Beginning?

It's almost three years since our last post.

A lot has happened in between, and certain aspects of my life were given priority over maintaining this blog.

Visiting the various eateries in and around Kuala Lumpur will in itself present us with inherent problems, chief among them is gaining weight, so much so that at one time my weight ballooned to beyond 100 kilograms!

So at the expense of this blog, we have stopped our exploration of the wealth of food to be had in Kuala Lumpur.

After a while we discovered that losing weight was just about watching what and how much we eat so as soon as I turned 50, we embarked on a new health regime. For as many days as we possibly can, we will take an hour’s (brisk) walk along Perdana Botanical Gardens, formerly Perdana Lake Gardens (but still affectionately known to us as Lake Gardens). Starting with a modest 2 kilometres per day we have steadily progressed to 5 kilometres per day, and possibly even 7 kilometres on weekends.

The haze that hit Malaysia last month however put paid to our brisk walking routine, and after a week of clear skies we hope to restart our Lake Garden excursions again this month.

We have resigned ourselves to the fact that the weight we gained over the years will not be going away but so long as we maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep plugging away at Lake Gardens, we think we’ll be okay.

With our health in check let’s hope we can resume our foodscapade!
