Hello everyone! We are Cat and Harold from Kuala Lumpur. Welcome to our vlog, created to catalogue our memories, life’s events and travels.
Why “Have Perut Will Travel”? It’s a play on words from an old Western TV show called “Have Gun - Will Travel”, but we let our tummies lead the way ❣️

BKK Day 3 │ Lido Connect • Night Stroll!
Off to Lido Connect
By 12:30 PM, we were done with ICONSIAM in every sense of the word so we hailed a metered taxi to Lido Connect. The 45-minute ride cost THB160 (≈ MYR21 / USD5 / EUR4).
We browsed a bit before settling at Toomsushi Siam Lido for a late lunch:
Chicken Karaage Curry Rice
Tom Yum Ramen
Saba Donburi
2 Iced Green Tea + 1 Iced Lemon Tea
Total: THB564 (≈ MYR73 / USD18 / EUR15)
Brendan later scored two t-shirts and a pair of jeans for THB2,130 (≈ MYR274/USD68/EUR58) at Everything Good.
Heading Home
We caught the 40 (4-39) EV bus back to Sukhumvit 42 for the same fare of THB20 (≈ MYR3/USD0.60 / EUR0.50) each. Bangkok’s infamous rush hour meant crawling a kilometer every 10 minutes, but we eventually made it back to Tierra Residences by 5:30 PM.
Evening Plans
After a quick shower and change of clothes, we headed to Aurora Massage for an hour-long session at 7:00 PM. Thai massage is often described as a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience that combines physical and mental benefits. We can attest to that!
As always hunger struck after a rigorous massage. We wanted to venture out of our comfort zone so instead of the usual PTT station at Rama 4 Road, we walked out onto Sukhumvit 40 headed north and finally tried the Fish Ball stall we've been eyeing [ลูกชิ้นปลาบรรทัดทอง ที่1 จส.100 สาขาสุขุมวิท40]. Here’s what we ordered:
Fish Ball Noodles
Fish Noodles with Fish Balls
Fish Ball Noodles with Tom Yum
Fried Fish Sticks
Fried Dumplings
2 Chrysanthemum Tea + 1 Pepsi
8 small cups of local ice cream
Total: THB879 (≈ MYR114 / USD28 / EUR24)
We wrapped up the night with a short walk back to Tierra Residences while Brendan explored Ekkamai.
Stay tuned for our next post: a laid-back Saturday at home before heading to Chatuchak in the evening!
