BKK Day 2 │ Shopping @ Pratunam!

Bangkok Shopping Spree: Platinum Mall & Beyond!

If retail therapy is your thing, Bangkok is a paradise—and we dove right in! Our adventure began at Rachathewi BTS Station, where we hopped into a metered taxi for just THB37 (≈ MYR5/USD1/EUR1) and headed straight to Platinum Beauty Mall to kick off the spree.

Accessories Galore

After some leisurely browsing, we struck gold on the 4th floor—a treasure trove of earrings, bracelets, and pendants. Total damage? THB850 (≈ MYR110/USD27/EUR23). Not bad for a stylish haul!

Unfortunately, Cat’s attempt to snag a couple of pants at Clothsclub was met with a frosty reception from the salesperson. Definitely not earning a 5-star rating from us.

Fragrance Heaven

Next stop: Namfluke Art on the ground floor. The scents were irresistible! We walked away with:

6 fragrances (50ml each)
14 fragrances (15ml each)

Grand total: THB4,687 (≈ MYR609/USD149/EUR127). Worth every baht for that aromatic bliss!

Umbrella Hunt

On the lookout for a lightweight umbrella, a friendly salesperson suggested Moshi Moshi at Platinum Fashion Mall next door. Score! We found the perfect one for THB189 (≈ MYR25/USD6/EUR5) each.

Exploring Pratunam

With Platinum conquered, we ventured into Pratunam proper, hitting Red Corner Plaza and City Complex. Brendan scored:

Refueling at McDonald’s

After hours of shopping, hunger struck. We grabbed a late lunch at McDonald’s:

2 Samurai Burger sets
1 Quarter Pounder set

The Taxi Twist

Our day ended with a ride back to Rachathewi BTS, but here’s the kicker—the driver didn’t turn on the meter and charged us THB200 (≈ MYR27/USD6/EUR5). Shame on you, Mr. Auttapol!
