BKK Day 7 │ Fortune Town Fun!

Getting Around: EV Bus & MRT Adventure

This video begins after our breakfast at DERNLEN Market. We hopped on the 40 (4-39) EV bus for just THB20 (≈ MYR3/USD1/EUR1) each. Morning rush hour made the ride slow, but soon we were at Asok BTS, then down to the MRT for a THB20 (≈ MYR3/USD1/EUR1) token to Phra Ram 9. Destination: Fortune Town.

Tech Shopping Spree at Fortune Town

Fortune Town is a well-known four-story IT and electronics shopping mall located on Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district, right next to the Phra Ram 9 MRT station for easy access. It opened in the late 1990s and spans about 50,000 square meters of retail space. The mall is a tech hub featuring over 200 stores specializing in computers, laptops, mobile phones, cameras, audio equipment, gaming consoles, and accessories. It also offers repair services and authorized brand centers. In just two hours, we scored:

iPhone Screen protector + pouch from Big Power: THB600
Mini tripod from Spy Enterprise: THB700
Micro SD + SD card from Big Camera: THB2,180

💰 Total: THB3,480(≈ MYR454/USD112/EUR95).

We then stopped by the iGuitar Music store on the 3rd floor. I was especially taken in with a yellow Squier Stratocaster guitar.

After a quick ATM stop, Brendan explored vinyl record stores while we hunted for a manicure spot—no luck! So we chilled at One To Two Café with:

Hot Caramel Macchiato
Iced Thai Milk Tea
