SKH Day 1 │ Loong Hua Seafood!

Seafood!

We left the hotel at six in the evening and hopped into BiBi, making the five-minute drive to our dinner destination. Barely a kilometer away we contemplated taking a walk there but the lack of proper sidewalks dissuaded us.

Located within Sekinchan's fishing village Loong Hua Seafood Restaurant was familiar to us, having previously been here in August 2020. We knew that parking was limited so we made sure to be here early.

It is known to be the oldest seafood restaurant in Sekinchan, and we liked its location next to the fishing boat jetty. We sat and watched fishermen busy with their work, fishing boats passed by the restaurant. Loong Hua is also known for maintaining the traditional Sekinchan fishing village cooking style. 

We carefully perused their menu before ordering the:

  • Signature Fried Bee Hoon with Crab
  • Deep Fried Cuttlefish
  • A jug of Chinese Tea 

Our riveting riverside dinner came to RM125.00 (approximately USD30/EUR25). IN all honesty it was a bit pricey considering the seafood feasts that we've been having in Kuching and Kuala Terengganu before this.

We then hopped back into BiBi and drove back to the hotel, parked then walked over to Sri Kassim Supermart to get some cold drinks and tidbits.
