SKH Day 3 │ Mamawe Cafe • Kampung Baru Car Wash!

Going Home!

We woke up at half past nine this morning and began to pack up in earnest. We managed to pack away most of the goodies from CYSY Teluk Intan yesterday into the white luggage bag, while all gadget related items were safely stored in the carry-on bag.

We checked out of East Sun Hotel an hour later and had intended to make our way to Hai Seng Huat to take a look at what they had to offer in terms of fresh fish. However we were both feeling under the weather and decided against it.

We then set course for D'Masri Restaurant but found it closed. We doubled back to Sekinchan town and after a bit of wandering eventually found ourselves at Mamawe Cafe along Jalan Menteri Besar. We were here once before and was the place felt familiar. After some time spent perusing their menu we settled on:

  • Cantonese Seafood Ee Mee
  • American Style Breakfast
  • Ginger Tea (for my sore throat)
  • Coca-Cola
  • Grilled Herb Chicken (for Brendan)

for a grand total of RM54.40 (approximately USD13/EUR11).

We then hopped back into BiBi and set course for home. The Waze app took us along several backstreets before eventually directing us to The Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor (LATAR) Expressway. We quite enjoyed this stretch of the journey, and after some time we found ourselves driving onto the New Klang Valley (NKVE) Expressway.

As soon as we reached Kuala Lumpur we made our way to our usual car wash along Jalan Raja Abdullah in Kampung Baru. We then made our way back to our home.

We did not have any travel plans for the next couple of months, and our next video will most probably be of a gallivant somewhere close by, but please stay tuned!
