DJI Pocket 2 │ Timelapse Test

A Rainy Evening Experiment

Happy National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 4, Kuala Lumpur!

This was our first attempt at time lapse photography, and the weather certainly made things interesting. It rained the entire evening into the night, only stopping somewhere in the middle of the first hour. Still, we mounted our DJI Pocket 2 onto a tripod, keyed in the settings, and pressed record.

A Small Mishap

Halfway through the first footage, I had the misfortune of kicking the tripod, which meant we had to restart the entire process. Not the most graceful moment, but part of the learning curve.

A Pleasant Surprise

Despite the low light conditions and the rain earlier, the final result surprised us. We honestly did not expect the DJI Pocket 2 to produce such clear and sharp footage under those circumstances.

More to Come

This little experiment has encouraged us to keep exploring timelapse photography — and to try more locations around Kuala Lumpur in the future.
