TGG Day 2 │ Warung KAK SAL Nasi Dagang

A Stop at the Market

A little over half an hour into our morning walkabout, we reached Pasar Kedai Payang and decided to explore the maze of food stalls. We were hoping for Nasi Dagang, and it didn’t take long before we found Warung Kak Sal serving exactly what we were looking for.

A Diminutive but Delightful Stall

Warung Kak Sal is a small, unassuming stall, but it offers a solid range of local favourites:

  • Nasi Dagang
  • Nasi Minyak
  • Pulut Kuning (or as we call it, Nasi Kunyit)
  • Nasi Ayam

We ordered two plates of Nasi Dagang, and from the stall next door, one plate of Nasi Minyak. To go with our meal, we added:

  • two glasses of Iced Tea
  • one Nescafe
  • one Kopi Radix

We sat down to enjoy our authentic Terengganu breakfast — simple, hearty, and thoroughly satisfying.

The Damage

The entire breakfast came to RM20.50 (≈ USD5/EUR4), which we felt was still very reasonably priced, especially for such a flavourful start to the day.

Back to the Walkabout

With breakfast out of the way, we resumed our morning walkabout, hoping to catch a boat across the river.

So please stay tuned for the next chapter.
