Rapid Penang: To the Jetty and Back

After finding relief in the water closet we woke Brendan up and got him to hit the shower. All dressed up we headed back out at 10am.

We walked out and eventually caught a CAT free bus from the bus stop in front of the 7-Eleven along Jalan Penang headed to KOMTAR where we hoped to purchase a monthly bus pass.

Alas we were told the bus passes were only available for purchase from the counter at the Jetty Bus Terminal, so we hopped on the same CAT free bus again.

Ten minutes later we arrived at the Jetty Bus Terminal and were able to purchase our monthly bus pass for RM10 each (approximately USD/EUR2). Mission accomplished, we then tested out our new bus passes by hopping onto a Rapid Penang #201 bus to make our way back to KOMTAR.

We arrived at 11am and walked into the ICT Mall, rode the escalator up to floors then walked across the pedestrian bridge into 1st Avenue Mall.

Brendan was feeling unwell, so we headed to Watsons pharmacy for some medication. We then ran some errands at the Mr DIY store, Watsons (again) before making our way to the Skechers store to get Cat several pairs of socks.

We then headed back to KOMTAR via the route we took earlier and stopped by Maybank to replenish the Federal Reserves. We then walked across KOMTAR and caught a Rapid Penang #206 to Jalan Transfer.

We disembarked at the Roti Canai Jalan Transfer and walked across onto Jalan Hutton to have lunch at Nasi Kandar Pokok Ketapang. Together with a round of drinks our lunch came to RM31.00 (approximately USD7/EUR6).

After lunch we stopped by a sundry shop for bottled drinking water and bars of soap, then Nana Tomyam for beverages to go.

We then walked back to the Green House.

We plan to have dinner later at a grand old food court nearby, so please stay tuned!
