Morning Stroll: CHOWRASTA

Penang Day 2!

We awoke bright and early to them sounds of a drizzle.

It was still drizzling when we left at 7:45am, Brendan decided to sleep in, so it was the two of us this drizzly morning. We walked out of Popus Lane then walked across Jalan Transfer onto Lebuh Dickens. We continued southeast for a few hundred meters before walking across Jalan Penang.

We had arrived at Chowrasta Market! We then strolled for a bit before darting into the Old Market food court for the first order of business: breakfast!

We settled on the first available table and proceeded to order. Our first breakfast in Penang definitely did not disappoint. Our drinks came to RM4.20; my Western breakfast was RM6.50 while Cat's Kueh Teow Thng was RM6.00 a bowl. All in all it came to RM16.70 (approximately USD4/EUR3) which was an absolute steal.

We then continued our stroll along Chowrasta morning market where Cat got two pairs of her favourite Nyonya pyjamas for RM25.00 each (approximately USD/EUR5). With it being overcast we then bought a couple of umbrellas for RM20.00 each (approximately USD/EUR4).

My tummy began to percolate which meant that we had to head back to the Green House for a quick pitstop.
