TGG Day 4 │ Pantai Batu Buruk • Kedai Makan MYM!

Batu Buruk Evening Drive

We met you again after the heat pushed us back into the cool comfort of the rest house. A quick shower lifted our spirits, and before long we returned to the home to spend a few hours on our separate chores.

Cat eventually took a nap while I finished editing the second video in our Kuala Terengganu series. With tomorrow’s drive in mind, we decided to head out for a short evening drive to Batu Buruk. We first stopped by the rest house to pick up Brendan, then set off together.

Sea Breeze at Sunset

At Batu Buruk, we paused for a while to take photos and enjoy the salty sea breeze. The air felt refreshing after the long day. As dusk began to settle in, we got back into BiBi and continued driving along the coast.

We carried on to Jalan Sultan Mahmud, drove a short distance, made a U turn at Kuala Ibai, and retraced our way back along the same road. It was a calm and pleasant drive with the evening light around us.

Fuel Stop and Dinner

We stopped at the Batu Buruk Petronas station to top up BiBi’s fuel and check the tyre pressure. After that, we continued on and eventually reached Pulau Warisan near Pasar Besar Kedai Payang.

Brendan was hungry, so we chose a nearby spot called Kedai Makan MYM for dinner. We ordered nasi lemak with fried turmeric beef, nasi minyak with chicken curry, nasi minyak with fried turmeric chicken, and three iced lemon teas. The total came to RM33.00 (≈USD8/EUR7), which felt very reasonable.

Wrapping Up the Day

After dinner, we drove back toward the home, stopping briefly at a 7 Eleven along Jalan Pejabat so Brendan could grab some snacks. Once back, we continued working on the day’s videos before returning to the rest house at ten to start packing.

Stay tuned for our next video as we make the return drive to Kuala Lumpur!
