Sedulous Saturday
We had another good night’s sleep and woke up at 8:30am. Brendan chose to continue his beauty sleep, so once again it was just the two of us this morning.
As has become our routine, we got ready and walked over to the house at 9:20am to start a load of laundry before heading out for breakfast. Wanting something local, we made the short drive to Jalan Sultan Omar, near my old primary school, and parked in front of Warung Pok Man Telur.

We joined the queue and quickly ordered:
- Nasi Kerabu
- Nasi Dagang
- hot Nescafe
- Iced Lemon Tea
We also picked up several packets of local sweet cakes. Breakfast total: RM28.00 (≈ USD7/EUR6).
We walked back to BiBi and drove toward home. Along Jalan Sultan Ismail, we stopped at Ban Soon Hin, the furniture shop owned by our neighbour Ng — better known as Ah Tee.
A New Office Chair
We were looking for an office chair for the long hours spent editing videos at the dining table. After trying a few options, we settled on a greyscale model for RM380.00 (≈ USD89/EUR79). No more backaches! The shop promised to deliver the fully assembled chair by noon, which suited us perfectly.
We chatted with Ah Tee for a bit before getting back into BiBi and making another short drive to Mr. DIY along Jalan Tengku Ampuan Mariam for more provisions — RM82.60 (≈ USD19/EUR17).
Back Home and Back to Work
We returned to the house, where I continued working on our videos while Cat pottered around. Right on the dot at noon, the new chair arrived — woot!
