Saturday Stroll │ Nova Chiropractic • Suria KLCC • Lot 10

Let’s Manipulate Some Joints!

Ever since our Penang trip, I had been meaning to seek chiropractic help, but only recently got around to it. Off camera, I visited Nova Chiropractic on Monday, and after consulting with Dr Chin, he sent me to Sunway Medical Centre Velocity for X rays of my lower back and neck.

We returned on Wednesday (also off camera), and he confirmed what I suspected — a slipped disc at L4 & L5. He performed adjustments on my lower back and neck, which gave immediate relief and noticeably better mobility.

Third Appointment

My third appointment was at 10am, so we left our condo bright and early and hopped on a Rapid KL Bus #300 for only RM1.00 (≈ USD/EUR0.20) to Corus Hotel. We crossed the overhead bridge and stopped at a tiny mamak stall for breakfast.

We each had a packet of Nasi Lemak, Cat ordered Iced Milk Tea, and I had a hot Nescafe Tarik. Breakfast came to just RM9.20 (≈ USD/EUR2).

We then walked to Wisma MCA and into Nova Chiropractic, where Dr Chin was waiting. I underwent another round of adjustments. He was pleased with my progress and hoped to see me regularly in the coming weeks.

Since I would be returning often, we signed up for a 10 session package that came with a 10% discount.

A Little Retail Therapy

We set our next appointment and walked out onto Jalan Ampang, heading toward Suria KLCC. Cat wanted to look for a blouse she had bought at Marks & Spencer in Gurney Paragon Mall during our Penang trip — but sadly, it wasn’t available here.

We then hopped on a free GOKL Green Line bus to Bukit Bintang, got off, and walked to Lot 10. After a quick washroom stop (RM0.50), we headed down to the Hutong Food Court.

We browsed for a bit and settled on Penang Famous Fried Koay Teow, ordering:

  • Curry Mee (Yellow Noodles)
  • Duck Egg Fried Kueh Teow
  • 2 Iced Herbal Teas

Lunch attracted service tax and came to RM42.60 (≈ USD10/EUR9).

We then stopped by the bakery on the same floor and picked up a bagful of pastries for RM39.30 (≈ USD9/EUR8) — dinner sorted.

Heading Home

We walked out of Lot 10, crossed the mini Shibuya crossing at Jalan Bukit Bintang, and waited at the bus stop. Soon, a free GOKL Blue Line bus arrived and took us back to our usual stop along Jalan Munshi Abdullah.

Nothing planned for next week — and we’re already looking forward to our flight to Kuching the following Monday.
