ROAR-some │ Lion Dance!

Lion Dance Surprise

We met you again after finishing our mall hopping mission to capture Chinese New Year decorations. With tired feet, we decided to rest for a while at Starbucks inside LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, thinking the afternoon was winding down.

We were wrong.

When the Lions Appeared

Without much warning, the sound of drums and cymbals filled the air. A lion dance performance suddenly came alive right before us. What started as a quiet coffee break quickly turned into an intense and exciting spectacle.

From that point on, there was not much for us to say—only to let the performance speak for itself. For the next twenty minutes or so, we watched in awe as the lion dancers performed nerve racking acrobatics atop high poles, balancing, leaping, and moving with incredible precision.

It was thrilling, breath holding, and impossible to look away.

A Fellow Creator Moment

During the performance, we also made an unexpected connection. We struck up a conversation with a fellow YouTuber, who was filming the performance using the DJI Action 4, just like us. We exchanged greetings, subscribed to each other’s channels, and shared notes about the camera and shooting techniques.

If you’re a fan of lion dance performances, you can check out his channel, Lion Dance TV, where he captures these moments with great dedication.

Wrapping Up the Day

What began as a simple rest stop turned into one of the most exciting moments of the day—a reminder that festive seasons often saved their best surprises for when you least expected them.

Be sure to catch our previous video, where we visited five malls to capture Chinese New Year decorations and enjoyed a Vietnamese lunch along the way.
