A Surprise Lunch at OneDeLand
After three and a half hours of walking and browsing, we finally worked up a serious appetite. We were actually on our way back to the Mutiara Damansara MRT station to head home when something caught our eye.
A restaurant.
A Spontaneous Choice
Curious, we paused.
OneDeLand advertised itself as a fusion of Western and Asian cuisine, tailored to modern Malaysian tastes. It also wasn’t as crowded as the other eateries around, which made the decision easy—we stepped right in.
What We Ordered
After looking through the menu, we settled on something a little different:
- Cat ordered the Grilled Chicken Chop with Bacon burger
- I went with the Grilled Pork Chop with Bacon burger
- Both came with a side of fries
For drinks, we decided to be adventurous:
- Cat tried the Hawaiian Sunset (pineapple) juice
- I went with the Vege Green (apple) garden juice
The Verdict
Our meal came to RM56.10 (≈ USD13 / EUR12)—a little on the pricey side for us, but not unexpected for a mall setting.
The good:
- The burgers and fries were enjoyable, hearty and satisfying after a long day
The surprising:
- The drinks had a strong celery aftertaste, which we both found a little unusual
Final Thoughts
Despite the quirky drinks, we had a pleasant meal overall. It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was a solid, easy choice if you were looking for a quick bite in the area.
Sometimes, the best finds were the ones you didn’t plan at all.
