CGK Day 5 │ JAKARTA Jaunt Pt2 • Sarinah Mall

Padang Lunch

We picked you up again as we arrived at Sarinah Mall at 12:20pm, after a fixed fare Bluebird ride costing IDR77,000 (≈ MYR21/USD5/EUR5). Hungry and ready for something hearty, we walked straight into Sari Ratu Kitchen for a traditional Padang lunch.

We ordered:

• Urap (steamed vegetables)
• Sambal Eggplant
• Beef Rendang
• Ayam Gulai (chicken curry)
• Sop Buntut (oxtail soup)
• 2 plates of white rice
• 2 sugar free iced teas

Our delicious Padang feast came to IDR367,290 (≈ MYR99/USD23/EUR22).

Fragrance Haul

After lunch, we headed up one floor to revisit our favourite fragrance stall — Carl & Claire. We ended up buying six 30ml bottles of various scents for IDR1,674,000. Since we presented our passports, we received a 5% tourist discount, bringing the total down to IDR1,590,300 (≈ MYR430/USD98/EUR94).

Bucket Hats at Kamalika

Before leaving Sarinah, we stopped by Kamalika Artprints and picked up three bucket hats — one each — for IDR360,000 (≈ MYR97/USD22/EUR21).

With that, we wrapped up our Sarinah visit.
