Humble Abode
We picked you up again after arriving at our Airbnb. Conveniently located in the heart of Central Jakarta and within walking distance of a trinity of malls — Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, and most importantly Thamrin City Mall — this was exactly why we chose to stay here.
The residence boasts a long list of facilities: a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, gym, garden and park, playground, BBQ pit, function hall, mini market, laundry and dry clean pickup, salon, ATM centre, taxi pool, 24 hour security, mailbox room, and parking for cars, motorbikes, and bicycles.
Checking In
The check in process was straightforward. We collected the key card and made our way up to the 26th floor. The unit was well appointed and had everything we needed — bed linen, towels, two flat screen TVs, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony with an awesome view of the city.
We’ll let our footage paint the full picture, including the swimming pool, courtyard, and gym on the LB floor.
For RM266.88 (≈ USD57/EUR52) a night, we felt it was fair value given the strategic location and the convenience of being able to walk to so many key attractions. Not to mention, Sigit, our host, was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful.
Later in the evening, we took a stroll around the area in search of drinking water and found an IndoMaret at the adjacent Thamrin Residence (not to be confused with our building, Thamrin Executive Residence).
