Getaway Day 1 │ SERI BAYU Resort Hotel

Freedom at Last

Happy National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 2, Kuala Lumpur!

Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya officially moved into Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan on 10 September, and after a miserable five and a half months locked up in our condo, we finally had the licence to roam again. The feeling of stepping out for a proper trip was indescribable.

Choosing Bagan Lalang

After much consideration, we decided to spend a couple of nights at the Seri Bayu Resort Hotel in Bagan Lalang, and explore what the area — and the nearby town of Sungai Pelek — had to offer. It felt like the perfect place for a quiet, post lockdown retreat.

A Surprisingly Spacious Stay

We booked the Family Suite, which was the cheaper option, but to our surprise it was very spacious. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms (the master bedroom even had an ensuite), we honestly could not have asked for more.

Comfortable, practical, and great value — exactly what we needed after months indoors.

A Beach Retreat Without the Price Shock

For anyone looking for a relaxing stay by the Bagan Lalang beach without paying an exorbitant rate in this area (cough avani cough), look no further than Seri Bayu Beach Resort.

Affordable, convenient, and wonderfully peaceful — very highly recommended.
