Getaway Day 2 │ Restoran MING TAI Sungai Pelek

When We Had Almost Given Up

Happy National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 2, Kuala Lumpur!

By this point, we had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would not be enjoying good seafood on this trip. Most eateries were still not accepting dine ins, and the few that did had clearly let their standards slip. It felt like the seafood stars simply weren’t aligned for us this time.

A Surprise Phone Call

So imagine our surprise — and delight — when we called Restoran Ming Tai and were told that they were accepting dine ins for the very first time today.

Just like that, our luck turned.

The seafood gods must have been smiling upon us… woohoo!

A Much Needed Win

After the string of disappointments earlier, this little victory felt extra sweet. A proper seafood dinner at last, and at a place ready to welcome diners again.

Sometimes, all it takes is one lucky call to turn the whole day around.
