IMAGO Mall Morning
We slept in and only left the homestay after ten in the morning. We took a short stroll around the area before deciding to head over to Imago Shopping Mall.
Brunch at the Food Court
Feeling hungry, we searched online and found that Imago had a food court on the second floor. Known simply as Imago Food Court, it offered many different stalls and cuisines. We took our time browsing before choosing a Sabahan food stall called De’Beef House.
We ordered:
- Sizzling Kam Heong Beef with Rice
- Mee Hoon Beef Soup
- Yellow Noodle Curry Soup
- Hot Coffee
- Iced Lemon Tea
- Iced Tea
Our satisfying brunch came to RM54.50 (≈ USD12/EUR11).
Errands and Missed Finds
After eating, we continued our walkabout and stopped by the DJI outlet, hoping to see the DJI Pocket 3. Unfortunately, it was out of stock.
We then ran a few errands around the mall, which included:
- Hair conditioner from Watsons
- A pair of low cut sneakers on sale from Vans for Brendan
- A small messenger bag from F.O.S.
- Slippers, a hairband and a stationery pouch from Mr DIY
A Cultural Surprise
Just as we were about to leave, a traditional Sabahan dance performance began at the ground floor foyer. We were lucky to catch it and managed to record the performance, which beautifully captured the spirit and culture of Sabah.
Heading Back
After that pleasant surprise, we made our way back to the homestay—though not before taking a very interesting detour.
Stay tuned for our next video as Brendan and we picked up new body art in Kota Kinabalu!
