The 10th and final stage of this year's race culminated with a grand stand finish at Dataran Merdeka. The race started at Shah Alam and made 6 loops around the Dataran - KLCC area, and passed right around our home!

Brendan has extra classes for his Bahasa Melayu in Ampang every Saturday, so we tend to gravitate toward Ampang for lunch every Saturday.
We have a soft spot for Oldtown White Coffee (our favourite among all Kopitiams), and this particular outlet is located at Ampang Waterfront.

This has got to be a firm favourite of our family as we've been coming here close to 10 years now, and has in fact been mentioned here earlier. I know there are 'better' and more authentic BKT shops in Klang (a dime a dozen if you ask me), but my idea of a BKT fix is when the broth is absolutely black and 'herbalistic'.

We've not been here in a while, and thought we might check it out. I used to work in Kampung Pandan many years ago and this stall was very popular during lunch time.

Again, this stall will not blow a hole in your pocket. Nasi Ayam was RM4 per plate, and drinks + ABC was a further RM6. Give it a try!

We've been coming here for a while, and its your typical yong tau foo joint. We like the service and the soup that comes with the yong tau foo is just right.
Its the typical everyday food for the everyday person, and it won't blow a hole in your pocket for sure!
Note1: We've read online that this shop has relocated to somewhere along Jalan Merdeka nearby. We've tried looking for it but to no avail. If anyone has the address we would appreciate you dropping us a line or message to update us. Much obliged!

After Ulik Mayang, we took a drive around and finally found ourselves at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. Since it was tea time and Brendan was hungry again (he's a growing boy) we made our way to the Oldtown White Coffee outlet here.
