Aunt Maew's Kitchen!
We picked you up again coming back from our adventures at the various 'Siam' malls as well as MBK Center.
As soon we as got back to Tierra Residences we headed out again in search of a late lunch. We handed the shuttle driver and security guard a bottle of chilled water each with a promise to come back later with Iced Thai Tea for the both of them
Once again our destination was the food court at the intersection of Soi Saeng Chan and Soi Sukhumvit 42.
Once again we were disappointed to find it closing down for the day. We then continued strolling down Soi Sukhumvit 42 headed south checking out the various options. Alas we were at the witching hour between lunch and dinner, so most eateries were closed for the time being.
We finally came upon a diminutive restaurant called Aunt Maew's (Cat) Kitchen and ordered:
- Fried Rice Noodle with Pork
- Rice Noodle Soup with Pork
- Iced Water
for only THB110 (approximately USD3/EUR3/MYR14). While we waited for lunch to be served Cat walked a few doors down to get two sets of Spring Rolls for THB30 each (approximately USD1/EUR1/MYR4).
After lunch, as promised we went in search of Iced Thai Tea. We got a couple for THB50 (approximately USD2/EUR1/MYR7), then added some skewered chicken with sticky rice for THB50 (approximately USD2/EUR1/MYR7) as well.
We walked back to Tierra Residences and presented the goodies to the security guard since the shuttle driver was not around.
