It’s Sunday Again!
Our plan for the day didn’t go as expected.
We had arranged to buy a pre loved DJI Pocket 2 as a backup camera, but the seller backed out at the last minute. Just like that, our Sunday became a day with no plans.
So… we slept in.
A Slow Start
By the time we got moving, it was already around noon. With nothing fixed on the agenda, we walked to Bandaraya LRT Station and took a train to Pudu, paying RM1.60 each (≈ USD0.30/EUR0.30).
Our first stop was meant to be Pudu Plaza, but hunger came first. We crossed the street and sat down at Fatt Kee Roast Duck & Chicken.
A Meal That Wasn’t Quite the Same
We ordered chicken rice with iced Chinese tea, and the bill came to RM25.40 (≈ USD3.50/EUR3.50).
It filled us up, but somehow it didn’t taste as good as we remembered. Maybe it had changed, or maybe we had.
Rain, Errands and a Good Deal
As we finished eating, heavy rain began—and stayed. Umbrellas up, we made our way to Pudu Plaza.
Inside The Store supermarket, we bought sliced cheddar cheese on sale—two dozen pieces for RM16.39 (≈ USD5/EUR5).
Next, we visited YL Camera to ask about the upcoming DJI Action 3. It would only be released in November, so we had something to look forward to.
While browsing, we spotted a Tenba BYOB 10 camera bag. It usually sold for RM329, but the salesperson offered it at RM200 (≈ USD43/EUR40). That was too good to ignore.
We paid quickly and left before we found anything else to buy!
An Unplanned Adventure
With no plan, we kept walking until we reached a bus stop along Jalan Pudu. On impulse, we boarded RapidKL bus #450 for RM1.90 each (≈ USD0.40/EUR0.40).
A few stops later, we arrived at Sunway Velocity Mall—a place we didn’t know well.
Drinks and a Small Victory
We wandered around and then stopped at O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich Café for drinks. The cost? RM27.75 (≈ USD6/EUR6)—more than our lunch!
After some relaxing people watching, we decided to check out Adidas.
The first store had no football jerseys. The second one did.
And there it was—I found my size, and was the proud owner of a Red Devils jersey.
Heading Home
We walked to Maluri LRT Station and took a direct train back to Bandaraya, paying RM2.20 each (≈ USD0.40/EUR0.40). In just fifteen minutes, we were back where we started.
A short walk later, we were home—tired but happy.
A Day That Wrote Itself
We began the day with no plans at all.
But we ended up with:
• A relaxed city walk
• A great camera bag deal
• A new jersey
• And a simple but satisfying afternoon
Sometimes, the best days are the ones that simply unfold.
Catch you in the next post!
