On the Prowl in George Town
We woke up at eight and began working on our videos before getting ready for the day. By nine, we were showered and feeling fresh. Cat was in a great mood thanks to a good night’s sleep, and by ten we were ready to head out.
Free Bus and Mall Errands
We walked to the bus stop near the 7 Eleven along Jalan Penang and caught the free CAT bus to KOMTAR. Once there, we renewed our Mutiara bus passes, then headed up to the second floor and crossed over to 1st Avenue Mall.
Inside the mall, we stopped by Watsons to buy a Cetaphil cleanser and lotion set to care for our tattoo. After that, we went down to Village Grocer on the ground floor to pick up a few supplies.
Early Lunch Stop
With our errands done, we walked out and crossed Jalan Magazine to Lebuh McNair for an early lunch at Chang Leong Nanyang Coffee. After looking through the menu, we chose Hokkien mee and curry chicken with rice, both served with iced chrysanthemum tea. We also shared a plate of loh bak, and later added their signature coffee. Everything came to RM49.70 (≈USD11/EUR10), which felt like good value.
Heading Back to Rest
After lunch, we walked back toward 1st Avenue Mall and continued on to the KOMTAR Utara bus stop. From there, we caught Rapid Penang bus 202 back to the hotel to rest and recharge.
