TGG to KUL │ MS Resthouse • Paka R&R • City One!

Going Home to Kuala Lumpur

Our fifth and final day marked the end of our stay, and it was time to head back to Kuala Lumpur. We woke up at six in the morning and were out the door forty minutes later, ready for the long drive ahead.

Saying Goodbye

We walked over to where BiBi was parked and, after a few attempts, finally managed to fit all our luggage into the boot. With that done, we checked out of the rest house and officially began our journey home.

One Last Breakfast Attempt

Our first plan was to drive to Batu Buruk for breakfast at Kak Pah Nasi Dagang. Unfortunately, she had not opened yet, so we decided to continue on our way. By a quarter past seven, we passed the Kuala Terengganu toll plaza and settled into the drive.

A Stop Along the Way

At a quarter past eight, we stopped at the Paka rest area for breakfast. We tried their unique green nasi lemak and ordered some drinks to go with it. The meal was simple, satisfying, and came to RM23.50 (≈USD6/EUR5).

After a quick bathroom break, we got back on the road at five to nine.

The Long Drive South

The next three hours passed quietly, with very light traffic along the way. Most of the journey was calm and smooth, and we captured much of it on time lapse so you could enjoy the relaxing drive with us.

We arrived home at exactly twelve noon. Even with our forty minute stop, the full journey took us five hours from start to finish.

Until the Next Trip

With the car unpacked and us back home, the trip officially came to an end. We were already looking forward to our next adventure.

We planned to be in Kuching over the Gawai weekend in early June, so stay tuned for more travels ahead.
