PPV Axiata Arena │ Don't Hesitate, Vaccinate!

It’s Booster Day 💉

We had been receiving invitations for our COVID 19 booster shots for some time, but since we had been infected on 26 November 2021, we felt it was too soon then. About two months later, we finally decided it was the right time.

My appointment was scheduled at 12:30pm at PPV Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, while Cat was supposed to have hers the next day at 1Shamelin Mall.

Heading Out Again

We left our apartment at 10:00am and had a quick, light breakfast before making our way to the LRT Sri Petaling Line.

It had been almost two years since we last took the LRT, ever since the first lockdown in March 2020, so we were understandably a little apprehensive. Thankfully, the train was practically empty, which helped ease our concerns.

About half an hour later, we arrived at Bukit Jalil Station.

A Pleasant Walk

Instead of rushing, we took a slow walk to PPV Axiata Arena, filming along the way with our DJI Pocket 2. Even though I was about an hour early, a kind gentleman at the entrance allowed me in, while Cat waited outside.

A Kind Gesture

On a whim, I asked if Cat could get her booster shot on the same day instead of waiting until tomorrow.

To our surprise, the gentleman said it could be arranged.

After a few quick adjustments on her MySejahtera app, he managed to:

  • Cancel her original appointment
  • Rebook her at the same venue

It was a small but incredibly kind act that made the whole experience so much easier.

Smooth and Efficient

From there, everything moved quickly:

  • Registration
  • Vaccination
  • App updates

There was no waiting at all, and the entire process—from entry to exit—took less than 30 minutes.

Truly impressive. Kudos to everyone involved in running such a smooth operation.

After Effects

The next day, I experienced:

  • A splitting headache
  • Chills and fever
  • Body aches

Thankfully, it lasted just a day, and I was fine soon after.

Cat, on the other hand, only had a sore arm and nothing more.

Final Thoughts

For anyone still unsure about getting their booster:

Yes, there might be some discomfort. But it is short lived—and the protection is worth it. Sometimes, a little pain now meant long term peace of mind.

And for us, it was another small but important step forward. 💪
