Going Home from Melaka
We woke up at half past eight and slowly got ourselves ready for the drive home. After loading our bags into BiBi, we returned the keycard to the mailbox and officially checked out at a quarter past nine.
Breakfast on the Road
We left Melaka shortly after and drove past Air Keroh before deciding to stop for breakfast at the Overhead Bridge Rest Area. We kept things simple with plain nasi lemak and a round of drinks. Breakfast came to RM13.90 (≈ USD/EUR3).
After a quick bathroom break, we were back on the road by a quarter past ten.
Avoiding Traffic
Traffic on the North–South Expressway was starting to build up, so we adjusted our route. We stayed on the highway for another half hour before exiting at Port Dickson. From there, we continued along Seremban’s Middle Ring Road and reached the Setul Toll Plaza, which marked the start of the LEKAS Highway.
The drive along LEKAS was smooth and calm. After another forty five minutes, we exited at the South Kajang Toll Plaza and made our way home.
Back in Kuala Lumpur
We arrived home at a quarter to one in the afternoon, relaxed and glad to have avoided the heavier traffic.
Stay tuned as we left Kuala Lumpur on a jet plane about two weeks later—heading to a capital city known for its iconic mosques, rich culture, busy markets, modern city life, and delicious food.
