It’s Chap Goh Meh!
In the spirit of the festivities, we booked an Airbnb at Bintang Fairlane Residences. We arrived early and decided to spend lunchtime at SB Corner, the Indian restaurant conveniently located just across the street.
An Odd Check In Experience
After lunch, we walked back and registered at the security desk to check in. What followed was a rather puzzling process. We were first asked to fill out a long registration form, only to be asked immediately after for an identity card. Once scanned, all the same details—full name and address—were captured digitally anyway.
It left us wondering why we had to go through such a tedious handwritten process before providing the same information electronically. Perhaps the management of Bintang Fairlane Residences had a little soul searching to do.
Settling In
Once that was done, we headed up to the 20th floor and entered our Airbnb. We decided to let the footage tell the full story of the unit. After dropping off our bags and taking a short breather, we headed out again, this time to run a few errands at Plaza Low Yat, just a short walk away.
The Morning After
The next morning, we checked out at 10:45am and made our way back across the street to SB Corner once more. We had brunch there and also packed takeaway rice with fried chicken for lunch later in the day.
It was a relaxed and fitting way to wrap up our Chap Goh Meh stay.
Do stay tuned for our upcoming videos, where we went on an impromptu walkabout around Bukit Bintang and stumbled upon an awesome hotpot dinner to end the day on a high note.
