SKH Day 3 │ Mamawe Cafe • Kampung Baru Car Wash!

Packing Up in Sekinchan

We woke up at 9:30am and began packing in earnest. Most of our goodies from CYSY Teluk Intan fit neatly into the white luggage bag, while all our gadgets and cables went into the carry on. After a final sweep of the room, we checked out of East Sun Hotel an hour later.

We had planned to stop by Hai Seng Huat to look at fresh fish, but both of us were feeling under the weather, so we decided to skip it.

A Change of Plans for Breakfast

We set course for D’Masri Restaurant, only to find it closed. So we doubled back into Sekinchan town and wandered around until we found Mamawe Café on Jalan Menteri Besar — a place we had visited once before.

After browsing the menu, we settled on:

  • Cantonese Seafood Ee Mee
  • American Style Breakfast
  • Ginger Tea (for my sore throat)
  • Coca Cola
  • Grilled Herb Chicken (for Brendan)

Everything came to RM54.40 (about USD13/EUR11).

The Drive Home

After lunch, we hopped back into BiBi and began our drive home. Waze took us through several backstreets before guiding us onto the LATAR Expressway. We enjoyed this stretch of road — quiet, smooth, and scenic — before eventually merging onto the NKVE.

Once we reached Kuala Lumpur, we headed straight to our usual car wash on Jalan Raja Abdullah in Kampung Baru to give BiBi a well deserved shower. After that, it was a short drive back home.

What’s Next

We don’t have any major travel plans for the next couple of months, so our upcoming videos will likely be little gallivants here and there around the city.

Stay tuned for those small adventures.
