To the Jetty and Back
We met you again in the early evening as we called a Grab car to head out for dinner. The ride to The Jetty Food Court at Pengkalan Weld was short and cost RM8.00 (≈ USD/EUR2). We arrived just before 6:40pm.
Dinner by the Water
We walked around the food court for a while before deciding what to eat. In the end, we ordered two plates of char kueh teow, some fried spring rolls, an ambara juice, and a small bottle of Tiger beer. Dinner came to RM50.80 (≈USD11/EUR10) and was both filling and satisfying.
An Unexpected Find
After dinner, Cat suggested we take a walk toward Kota Lama. As we walked, we noticed a row of floats being prepared for a procession. We were not sure what the event was or where it was heading, but it was interesting to watch the preparations.
Walking Through George Town
We continued walking along Pengkalan Weld, then turned onto Gat Lebuh China. From there, we walked on until we reached the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower. Near Padang Kota, we saw the procession gathering and getting ready to begin.
Heading Back by Bus
We waited nearby for the free CAT bus and soon hopped on. Just five minutes later, we got off near Hotel Cititel. From there, we walked through familiar streets and soon arrived back at our hotel.
It was a relaxed evening with a mix of food, walking, and small surprises.
Stay tuned as we headed out the next day for a tattoo appointment in George Town!
