Nasi Dagang Morning
There was a long running debate about which nasi dagang was the best in Kuala Terengganu. For us, there was no such thing as “better,” only different but equally good.
Nasi Dagang Atas Tol had a sweeter gravy and prettier presentation, but we still felt Kak Pah’s version held a slight edge when it came to authentic taste. From what we had heard over the years, our generation leaned toward Kak Pah, while the younger crowd preferred Atas Tol. Maybe it really came down to who had the sweeter tooth.
A Late Start After a Long Day
After the fourteen hour spring cleaning the day before, we slept in and only woke up at nine. By ten, we were out the door and drove a short distance to Nasi Dagang Kak Pah, already craving something familiar and comforting.
Breakfast at Kak Pah
We did not hesitate when ordering:
- 3 plates of Nasi Dagang Ikan Tongkol
- 2 Iced Lemon Teas
- 1 Hot Nescafe
Our hearty breakfast came to just RM25.00 (≈ USD5 / EUR5). It was simple, satisfying, and tasted exactly like it should—unchanged, honest, and deeply familiar.
On the Road Again
With full stomachs and lighter hearts, we hopped back into BiBi and went for a drive.
Stay tuned for our next video as we drove down memory lane, revisiting places that shaped who we were.
