Flying to Kuching — Graduation Week Begins
Today was the day we flew to Kuching for Brendan’s long awaited graduation ceremony at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
Flights to Kuching are always popular and fill up fast, so the moment UNIMAS confirmed that Brendan’s ceremony would be held on 4th November, we booked our seats immediately — and this was way back in June.
KL Sentral — The Return of In Town Check In
We left our condo at 7:45am and hailed a 6 seater Grab for RM14.00 (≈ USD/EUR3) to KL Sentral.
With the re opening of Malaysia Airlines’ in town flight check in and baggage drop at KL Sentral on 1 September, life has become so much easier for travellers like us. Once we reached KL Sentral, we made a beeline for the MAS counter and got ourselves and our luggage checked in.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Off to KLIA
After checking in, we walked past the ERL turnstiles and caught the 8:15am express train to KLIA.
We arrived about half an hour later. With time to spare before our flight, we decided on a quick breakfast at McDonald’s — and immediately regretted it.
RM30.85 (≈ USD7/EUR6) for a simple breakfast, and half an hour later, we were finally ready to head to the Departure Hall.
