Drove around aimlessly on New Year's day and found a shop in Setapak called Restoran Ulu Yam.

not visible from the main road, so GPS would be best:)

Brendan had the hokkien mee

The home made fish cakes were really good

This is their specialty

Claypot noodles in yam gravy

A bit pricey though

We left the shop wondering about its name. Restoran Ulu Yam because it originated from Ulu Yam, or because of their specialty dish, the claypot noodles in yam gravy?

Maybe someone can enlighten us.
